Every Buy LEDs product is certified, guaranteeing the highest quality product available.
Here at Buy LEDs, we’re proud of the certifications our products have earned, guaranteeing that they are not only the highest quality possible, but will also noticeably make a difference in the world we live in. Ranging from energy saving, to sustainability and safety, here’s a rundown of what the above symbols actually mean, why you should care, and how they impact Buy LEds products. These symbols are more than just an accent mark to add to our products – they are proof of our continued commitment to innovation, excellence, and making the world a better and more sustainable place.

UL Mark (UL Listed & cUL Listed)
The Underwriters Laboratories’ UL symbol means the product, after a series of testing, meets UL’s nationally recognized Standards of Safety. UL is a non-profit organization dedicated to public safety and Bulb Daddy is proud almost all of our products meet their stringent testing and safety standards.

ETL Listed
Intertek’s ETL Listed symbol is proof the product has been independently tested and meets the applicable published standard. The ETL mark shows the product’s compliance to North American safety standards. Intertek is one of the world's largest Testing, Inspection and Certification companies and Bulb Daddy proudly displays the ETL mark on our products that meet their demanding testing standards.

FCC Declaration of Conformity
The FCC mark is a certification mark used on electronic products manufactured or sold in the United States which certifies that the electromagnetic interference from the device is under the limits approved by the Federal Communications Commission. All Bulb Daddy products carry the FCC mark.

Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Compliant
RoHS Compliant means the product is lead-free and restricts the use of six hazardous materials often found in electrical products (Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Hexavalent Chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyls, and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers). We’re excited to feature many products that are RoHS Compliant, helping build a more sustainable future.

ENERGY STAR
If you see the ENERGY STAR mark on the packaging of any product, you can have peace of mind that what you’re purchasing has been proven to save energy and help the environment. Energy Star is a trusted government-backed symbol and was created to reduce greenhouse emissions and other pollutants caused by the inefficient use of energy, all while ensuring product quality and energy savings at no compromise on quality.

Design Lights Consortium (DLC) Listed
The Design Lights Consortium promotes quality, performance and energy-efficient commercial sector lighting solutions through collaboration among its federal, regional, state, utility, and energy efficiency program members, luminaire manufacturers, lighting designers, and other industry stakeholders throughout the US and Canada. The DLC listing grants consumers access to rebates through their local energy supplier. Almost all Bulb Daddy products are DLC listed and approved.

LED Lighting Facts Program Partner
The LED Lighting Facts label further cements Bulb Daddy’s commitment to supporting improvement in the quality of LED products. The label was created to promote the accurate and consistent reporting of LED product performance claims and requires important information to be presented in an easy-to-read format, much like Nutrition Labels on food products. All ENERGY STAR marked products also carry the LED Lighting Facts label, clearly outlining the product’s specifications.

LED Wall Packs
LED Wall Packs
Traditional Wall Packs – and now LED Wall Packs – are perhaps the most versatile light fixtures used in the lighting industry. When they were first introduced to the marketplace, incandescent bulbs were the standard. With the arrival of new technologies such as Metal Halide (MH) and High Pressure Sodium (HPS) lamps, the popularity of Wall Packs increased. Now technology has progressed again and Wall Packs have gone through another light source transformation. The new LED Wall Pack has arrived.
Benefits of LED Wall Packs
Compared to Metal Halide or High Pressure Sodium lamps, LED Wall Packs do not use a ballast. They are instant ON, so there is no waiting for the lamp to warm up. Compared to their predecessors, they possess a longer life span and are more efficient, converting 75 to 80% of energy into light. A 60 watt LED Wall Pack is comparable to a 250 watt Metal Halide bulb, but produces much less heat and reduces energy costs. They operate effectively in both hot and cold weather conditions and are resistant to shock and vibration making them especially well suited to a wide range of climates, locations and applications. A number of models also include dusk-to-dawn (D2D) photocells, turning the light ON at sunset and OFF at sunrise.
How to Update Old Wall Packs to LED Wall Packs
Converting old style Wall Packs to new LED technology is reasonably straightforward. First, disconnect and remove the old bulb and heavy magnetic ballast, then connect raw power 120-277V straight to the lamp socket. Once that is done you can screw in a comparative LED retrofit COB bulb, close the fixture and power it on. Before proceeding however, there are a few things you should consider. First, the age of the Wall Pack. Check its physical condition for potential hazards like compromised seals that could allow water to leak inside the fixture. Second, the physical construction. Older Wall Packs may not possess an adequate enough design to allow for proper heat dissipation. Excessive heat buildup can shorten the lifespan and even destroy an LED lamp. In most cases it is a cheaper and less time consuming option to simply replace the old fixture completely with a new LED Wall Pack.
LED Wall Pack Applications
Because of their versatility and efficiency, LED Wall Packs have a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial applications. LED Wall Packs are installed on the sides of commercial buildings, parking garages, in front of homes, apartments, building walkways, warehouses and many other locations that require lighting. LED Wall Packs provide good security lighting for businesses, commercial buildings and homes with efficient light and great energy savings.

LED Wall Pack Styles
LED Wall Packs come in different styles suitable for an array of residential, industrial and commercial applications. Residential fixtures are lower wattage and great for smaller areas. They are used as additional lighting versus a main light source with selectable color temperatures from 3000 Kelvin to 5000 Kelvin. They are smaller in size and come in many styles and designs to fit the architectural and decor of your residence. Commercial LED Wall Packs come as Cutoff, Half-Cutoff or Full Cutoff. These types help with the direction and spread of the light. Cutoff Fixtures are great for Dark Sky Compliance applications. Commercial LED Wall Packs are designed to deliver higher wattage from 50 to 200 watts, with larger prismatic lenses for wider spread illumination. They come in a variety of commercial and industrial operating voltages from 100V to 277V. Architectural LED Wall Packs come in a variety of finishes and designs. These types of fixtures are ideal for illuminating buildings, outdoor works of art, and large commercial landscape venues such as parks. Some architectural LED Wall Packs feature one or more rotatable light heads, allowing you to adjust and direct the light beam precisely on the object or area that you want to illuminate.
